To register for this event, please use the "Register" tab at the top of your screen.  Registration will proceed in the order listed below. When registering, please progress through system by selecting "Yes" or "No" for each section of the event (if yes is selected more options will appear), then fill in any appropriate information and click "Next" at the bottom of the page to continue. LEARN TO OR ADVANCE YOUR SKILLS SKI/SNOWBOARD PROGRAM: Open to skiers with physical disabilities at all ability levels. Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) certified instructors, utilizing the latest in adapted ski teaching methods, will teach students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Adapted ski equipment will be available to all students during lessons. Stand-up skiers must provide their own ski(s) and poles. Lessons are $35 per 2½-hour session. There are two sessions per day, starting at 9:30 am and at 1:00 pm. Availability for on-site registration cannot be guaranteed.

NORDIC SKI CLINICS / NASTAR RACE

NORDIC SKI CLINICS / NASTAR RACE:
The coaching staff from the United States Disabled Cross-Country team, Adaptive Adventures, NSCD and Sun Valley Adaptive Sports will offer cross-country skiing instruction. Beginning skiers will learn proper classic technique, including flat track and negotiating down hills. Also, skating lessons will be provided for intermediate and advanced skiers. All ability levels are encouraged to participate. Adapted equipment rental and trail usage fees of $10.00 per day are the responsibility of the participant and must be paid on site at the Breckenridge Nordic center. Lessons are free.

Put your new Nordic skills to the test and participate in a fun Nordic Race taking place on Wednesday Dec 10, 11am at the Frisco Nordic Center (dependent on snow – check status at event). Racing is designed for beginner through intermediate and will assist in the development of future Paralympic teams – please join us for a dose of fitness and fun!

Disabled Sports USA will provide transportation leaving from Beaver Run Resort lobby a half hour before the start time of both Learn to Nordic Ski Clinics and the Race or you may drive directly to the Nordic Center which is just outside of Frisco (Breckenridge side) on Route 9.

MID-LEVEL DEVELOPMENT CAMP: For new, developing and NASTAR racers this camp offers the opportunity to work alongside mentors and coaches who will guide you to the next level. Learn about advanced skiing techniques, race tactics, ski preparation, video analysis and more! You will have the option of participating in either the NorAm SL, NorAm GS or level I Nastar course at the end of the week (must register separately for races).

LEARN TO RACE: For disabled racers either on the verge of, or participating in NorAm races. Learn from the U.S. Disabled Ski Team as they guide you through the gates and more advanced terrain. Video analysis and a rigorous training schedule are part of this clinic with the best in the business!

During registration for this section of the event, you will be asked to determine your level of ski racing ability;  This will determine your placement in the Mid-Level Development Camp OR Learn to Race Camp


*USSA LEVEL I COACHES MENTORING:
An opportunity for new race coaches to be mentored by the U.S. Disabled Ski Team coaching staff. Work alongside these experienced teachers and have a hands-on role with the racers participating in the camps. If interested, please fill out the Volunteer Registration form and check mark “National Race Festival – Level I Coaches Only”.

NorAm SLALOM AND GIANT SLALOM QUALIFYING RACES

NorAm SLALOM AND GIANT SLALOM QUALIFYING RACES: 
These are USSA/IPC sanctioned, qualifying races for the 2008 U.S. Disabled Ski Championships. Open to intermediate and advanced level skiers who have a USSA Alpine Competition License. The U.S. Disabled Ski Team will participate in these races. 

For information on obtaining a USSA Alpine Competition License or a FIS license, contact USSA at 435-647-2666, e-mail membership@ussa.org, or log onto www.usskiteam.comAll racers must have a current USSA Alpine Competition License and must also be medically classified in order to compete.

The race venue has been moved to Copper Mountain Resort (see event agenda for information on time and date). Limited complimentary transportation is available from Breckenridge to Copper. Athletes will need to e-mail info@dsusa.org to get on the list for race transportation (Please indicate which races participating in and how many people).

Level I Race/Corporate challenge

13th ANNUAL CORPORATE CHALLENGE TEAM RACE: NASTAR race featuring teams composed of event staff, participants, sponsors, media representatives, and VIPs. Each team will feature four non-disabled skiers and one disabled participant. Teams may be formed at any time; start times may be selected during the week. More information will be available at registration on Sunday, December 2 and throughout the week at the registration desk.

NASTAR RACE: Racers may race in the Corporate Challenge individually and take part in a NASTAR (level I) race against other emerging racers. Complete the Corporate Challenge registration form and indicate this is how you would like to participate.

PSIA-AASI National Adaptive Continuing Education Academy

PSIA-AASI National Adaptive Continuing Education Academy: Open to ski instructors and instructor trainees. Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) certified examiners and clinicians will teach the latest in adapted ski teaching methods. Programs are offered in all disciplines and levels of disabled ski teaching. All participants must provide their own equipment. Two-day, three-day and five day packages are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. PSIA units are available. 

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE. ON-SITE REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. It is recommended that you register as early as possible to get into desired courses! Refunds are not available after November 14th.
