What does excellence look like in Jewish day camp?
Join us for this exciting new training opportunity to learn how to create a meaningful and engaging day camp that will position you as THE day camp to be at this summer in your community! Open to all day camp directors who have been in their role for three years or less, this intensive workshop will provide you with the tools, knowledge, resources, and network of colleagues to maximize the impact and profitability of your camp.
Generously supported by JCC Association’s Day Camp Initiative, the JCC New Day Camp Director Workshop is fully subsidized, including up to a $150 travel stipend per JCC to offset the costs of travel and lodging. Please indicate if you’d like to share a room, so we can connect you to other attendees looking for a roommate.
The workshop will cover the following core content areas:
Camper recruitment and retention, including relationship-building and customer service, how to collect and utilize feedback, understanding your numbers and metrics, and creating Camp365.
Programmatic and operational excellence, including best practices and trends, models of success, and strategies to develop a core program and infrastructure that keeps campers coming back summer after summer.
Staff engagement, including recruiting, training, and retaining the best staff team to make your vision a reality.
Creating a positive camp culture, why it’s important, how to do it, and why it can be the key to sustainable success.
