Contribute Basics Part 1

Are you a new or untrained Authoring Administrator?  Would you benefit from a review of basic Contribute functionality?  This two-part breakout session will introduce you to the fundamentals of content development using Adobe Contribute.  During the two sessions, you will learn how to get started using the Contribute software, how to create authoring folders and HTML pages and publish them to your authoring FTP site.  Adding authored content to an HLC course will also be demonstrated.
NOTE:  Participants should register for and attend BOTH Part 1 and Part 2.

Learning Objectives: 

·         Create basic online content using Contribute

·         Manage content through Contribute and from the authoring FTP

·         Add online content into an administrator-developed HLC course

Student Groups: A Roundtable Discussion

Video Made Easy

Have you wondered about incorporating video into your HLC courses? Have you contemplated using video but needed more guidance as to when it is appropriate as a learning tool? Are you concerned about the costs involved in video production? During this one hour session, you will be introduced to a simple, inexpensive methodology for incorporating video into your administrator-developed HLC courses. An overview of the process will be provided, including a discussion of the required tools and estimated costs. Tips will be shared to assist you in assessing when video is truly useful as a learning adjunct. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a video capture, and witness that video become part of an HLC course - all within this one hour presentation!

Solving Real-world Problems - Enterprise

What's New with HLC Imports?

During this one hour session, you will be introduced to the procedure for adding interactive quizzes and test questions within your Contribute authored content. Using the Contribute hyperlink tool, hotspots will be created allowing students to answer quiz questions and review their comprehension when navigating through authored content. You will learn how to map question pages and quiz buttons to corresponding answer pages within the learning activity.

Implementing a Nation-wide Enterprise

Using the Completion Data Export (CDE) Report

Have you mastered the basics of HLC reporting?
Are you ready to gather even more information using the data available in the HLC?
Do you have access to Microsoft Access software?

In this one hour presentation, you will learn how to export HLC completion data and, using Microsoft Access, query the data to meet your information needs. In addition to seeing an overview of the report, participants will determine what data they would like to be able to analyze in detail using the CDE. NOTE: While you must use Microsoft Access to query the CDE data, expert skill with MS Access is not required.

Transforming Class Management with Easy Scan

Managing Your Content Library
