The Fiscal New Year Party is a great opportunity for the public and private IT sector to celebrate the successes of 2013 and kick-off the new fiscal year. Our goal is to create a platform between government and industry to network and build partnerships. We hope to bring thought-leaders together with peers in order to exchange ideas and provide a detailed understanding of how technology is being utilized throughout government.
AFCEA Bethesda Young AFCEANs are excited to host the Fiscal New Year Networking Event with the help and coordination of other regional Young AFCEA chapters. The event will take place at Arlington Social Haus in Arlington, Virginia. Appetizers and food and beverage specials will be provided.
This year the Young AFCEA Bethesda planning committee is proud to announce that all proceeds from this event will go to benefit the mission of Challenger Center for Space Science Education.
Challenger Center for Space Science Education and its network of Challenger Learning Centers engage students in hands-on experiences that strengthen knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and inspire students to pursue careers in these important fields. As a recognized leader in STEM education, Challenger Center uses state-of-the-art technology to create simulated space missions that bring classroom lessons to life. Students are transformed into astronauts and engineers and solve real-world problems as they share the thrill of discovery. With more than 40 Challenger Learning Centers, including a location in Lanham, MD, Challenger Center has reached more than 4 million students around the globe.
