Nurse Summit 2012 Purpose:
To explore the transformative power of nurse leadership across the continuum, from classroom to boardroom.   Showcasing nurse leadership for students, charge nurses, academic leaders, direct care providers, and nurse executives, including exemplars from the bedside, and across the care continuum. Inspired by the 2010 IOM Report on the Future of Nursing, this conference is geared for nurses to create their own future for the decades to come.  Join us as we:

·         learn from national thought leaders; through presentations and networking

·         engage in meaningful conversations about important issues

·         explore the impact of the IOM report on healthcare education & practice settings

·         showcase innovative workforce initiatives, leadership, research, education, &  patient care

REMINDER: The Annual Legislative Day occurs on the 19th at the State House in Montpelier, VT! This year's conference aligns with Vermont Nurses Legislative Day, a popular and insightful activity held in Montpelier, Vermont. Plan to optimize your professional nursing experience by attending Legislative Day in Montpelier on Thursday April 19th from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon, then traveling to the Sheraton Hotel in Burlington for the start of the Nursing Summit. The special activities listed in the schedule below, round out the experience, and provide ‘added value’ to conference participants.
