You are invited to join the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry this winter for a Continuing Dental Education Study Abroad program in the beautiful Guanacaste region of Costa Rica - one of the most beautiful, biologically diverse, and friendly places on earth.

Program Costs for Study Abroad in Costa Rica
  • Air/land travel package in Junior Suite category double accommodations: $3,295.00 per person
  • Land-only travel package in Junior Suite category double accommodations: $2,350.00 per person
  • Supplement for single Junior Suite accommodations: $895.00 per person
  • Children ages 0-11 in same room as adults: $1,995.00 per child air/land
  • Children ages 0-11 in same room as adults: $1,220.00 per child land only
  • Maximum 2 adults/2 children ages 0-11 per Junior Suite
  • CE tuition additional; rates listed below
Tuition Costs with Purchase of Air/Land or Land-Only Package
  • Dentist, dental therapist, hygienist or assistant, separately: $695.00 per person
  • One dentist and one dental therapist, hygienist or assistant together: $995.00 for both
  • Second and each additional dental therapist, hygienist or assistant: $645.00 per person

Tuition Costs for Continuing Education Tuition Only

  • One dentist, hygienist or assistant, separately: $1,195.00 per person
  • One dentist and one dental therapist, hygienist, or assistant together: $1,495.00 for both
  • Second and each additional dental therapist, hygienist or assistant: $1,145.00 per person

Air/Land Program Inclusions

  • Round-trip air travel from Minneapolis to Liberia, Costa Rica (land-only package and flights from other departure cities available)
  • Round-trip group motor coach transportation between the airport and resort (on program arrival and departure days)
  • Seven nights' Junior Suite accommodations at the deluxe Riu Palace Costa Rica resort
  • All-inclusive meals and snacks, limitless beverages, resort activities and non-motorized water sports, nightly entertainment, all taxes and gratuities
  • Four half-day Continuing Education courses (20 hours total) - CE tuition additional & listed above
  • Carlson Wagonlit Travel host throughout the program
  • Porterage of one suitcase per person
  • Travel documents sent 2-3 weeks prior to departure
