The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center will offer FREE week long workshops for middle and high school students that are interested in taking action and improving lives.


August 12-16, 2013; Monday – Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

How can you use your voice for the common good? Join this workshop to capture your passion for a better world and transform it into clear messages for many to hear. Fine tune your speaking and writing skills so you can use your influence to raise awareness about global issues. Learn how to start a blog, tweet and more. During this session you will meet professionals and foundation staff who practice these skills daily. This workshop culminates in a “TED Talk” inspired presentation.

Age Requirement: Open to students who will be in 7th -12th grade during the 2013-2014 school year.

Teens must be committed to attending all 5 days. Space is limited and is a first come, first serve basis along with meeting the age criteria and time commitment.
