In September, the CIO Council followed up its Digital Government Strategy with the release of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Toolkit. BYOD promises to reduce costs, increase program productivity, and improve effectiveness, but it also brings with it security, policy, technical and legal challenges. On Thursday, November 15, join AFCEA Bethesda at the Bethesda North Marriott and Conference Center for “Bring Your Own Device – From Toolkit to Implementation,” a breakfast program focused on the policies, challenges and best practices of BYOD.

Panelists will discuss:
  • The role of BYOD in fulfilling the Digital Government Strategy
  • Case studies and examples of pilot programs across the government
  • How desktop virtualization has been used in the adoption of BYOD policies
  • Specific management and culture challenges, including workforce issues
  • The future of BYOD policies in the government and what contractors can expect
