At the request of the Office of Management and Budget to correspond with the expected release of the FY14 federal budget, AFCEA Bethesda moved the originally scheduled breakfast from March 27 to April 19. If you registered for the March 27 breakfast, your registration will transfer and you will be automatically registered for the breakfast on April 19. If you are unable to attend the April 19 breakfast, please email for a full refund.
The OMB's FY 2014 budget guidance directed agencies to reduce their budget requests by five percent over previous years, and reduce their information technology (IT) spending by 10 percent. From mobility to cybersecurity, from cloud computing to big data, what areas will be priorities and what opportunities will be available in the coming year ahead? Join AFCEA Bethesda and top agency technology executives for a sneak peak at the future of federal IT in our yearly budget preview.
Learning objectives include:
  • How agencies plan to grapple with a starkly reduced technology budget
  • What new technology agencies are investing in to support ongoing priorities
  • How the continuing Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative and Digital Government Strategy are shaping IT budget priorities
  • What government-wide initiatives and cross-agency collaboration efforts are on the horizon to maximize resources and avoid program duplication
