San Jose State University and Kaiser Permanente have teamed up to help you discover new ways to stay healthy and learn about your personal health. Kaiser Permanente will offer health screenings in the Martin Luther King Library for San Jose State University employees. Go to the Register "page" today to sign up for an appointment.

About the Screening:
These screenings are designed to provide a snapshot of your health and to help assess potential risk for developing chronic conditions. These screenings are not designed to diagnose conditions. If the screening results are outside the recommended range, participants will be encouraged to follow-up with their healthcare provider.
The wellness screenings include:
- Total Cholesterol - sample taken by fingerstick method
- High Density Lipoprotein ("good cholesterol")
- Risk Ratio
- Blood Pressure
- Body Mass Index
- Body Composition
- Individualized explanation of screening results during screening appointment.
Preparation for the Screening:
Fasting is not required.
For ease of blood pressure screening, do not wear a bulky sweater/shirt.
Kaiser Permanente members, please be sure to bring your your membership card with you to the screening
