The 2016 AFBF Advocacy Conference will be held at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., beginning Monday, Feb. 22, and ending with a reception on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The Advocacy Conference is a meeting for state Farm Bureau presidents, administrators/assistants to presidents, key staff, leaders and state Farm Bureau board members.

On Tuesday, attendees will start their day with veteran  political reporter and host of Fox News Sunday, Chris  Wallace. Throughout Tuesday, attendees will participate in  breakout sessions on Farm Bureau priority issues, receive  training to be effective and influential advocates for Farm  Bureau policy and networking opportunities. Attendees will  choose,  onsite, the specific issue briefings and advocacy development sessions they wish to attend.

Wednesday will begin by preparing attendees for Hill visits with lawmakers. Busing to Capitol Hill will be provided to take attendees to Capitol Hill for meetings with lawmakers. The first bus is scheduled to depart at 8:30am. Following, a day of visiting congressional offices, AFBF will host a reception for attendees and congressional staff on Capitol Hill.

On Thursday morning, breakfast will be provided for attendees before flights. We will also seek feedback on Hill visits.
