Financial Education Seminar Series Continues in 2012

To help you get the financial information you need to pursue your savings goals, we’re pleased to announce new and updated financial education seminars being offered on a campus near you in the fall 2012.

In today’s uncertain economic times, it’s more important than ever to understand the basics of saving and investing—and how a well-crafted financial plan can help you make the most of your finances. This education series is made up of four retirement seminars that offer simple strategies you can follow to prepare for the financial future you deserve.

Updated! Market Volatility
In this seminar, you’ll learn the ins and outs of market volatility and how to create a long-term investment strategy that’s appropriate for your personal situation, no matter how the markets perform from day to day. The seminar will also discuss diversification, asset allocation, the importance of investment expenses, and how maximizing your retirement contributions and investing in IRAs can help you reach your goals.

Updated! Managing Your Retirement Plan Through a Yearly Review — Learn how to monitor your retirement savings, including reviewing your allocations, checking your risk tolerance, and ensuring your account beneficiary designations are up-to-date. This seminar will also discuss Target Date Funds and how to use them to create a portfolio tailored to your unique financial situation.

NEW! She’s Got It: A Woman’s Guide to Saving and Investing — Created for and presented by women, this interactive workshop gives you a revealing trip through the basics of investing. You’ll take part in group activities that will help you identify your savings goals, develop strategies to pursue them, and evaluate your progress. You’ll also gain insights into your financial life through the Financial Personality Type Quiz and hear a special foreword from Manisha Thakor, a nationally recognized financial expert for women.

NEW! Postcards From the Future: A Woman’s Guide to Financially Ever After  This interactive workshop will help you create a savings plan to take you through every phase of life. You’ll learn how to identify your “retirement vision” so you can save for your investment goals and, ultimately, your ideal retirement. You’ll also find out about retirement products—such as 403(b) plans, IRAs and annuities—that you can use to help build future savings.

When you attend, you’ll not only be better prepared for your future, you’ll also have a chance to win an iPad2!
