IBD Clinical Trials Course

This course will provide a comprehensive review and practical steps for initiating and managing clinical trials in IBD.  Topics include the epidemiology and pathogenesis of IBD, evidence-based medicine in the treatment of Crohn’s disease and colitis, a review of the IBD drug development pipeline and the future of IBD research, and the role of U.S. regulatory agencies in the development, conduct and funding of IBD clinical trials.  In addition to the plenary sessions, the meeting format features interactive case presentations as well as case study workshops focused on Protocol Development and Activity Indices. 

 

Upon completion of this course, participants should have a full understanding of the IBD clinical trial process, and be able to function as effective and productive investigators or coordinators.
 

Who Should Attend

This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, study coordinators, nurse practitioners and other health care professionals who treat patients with IBD and who have an interest in participating as investigators in IBD Clinical trials. Attendance is limited to 200 attendees.
