On behalf of the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, I welcome you to the 2008 Community Transportation Transit Conference.
This year's conference theme is "The Future of Community Transit in Alaska". The conference will feature several speakers and topics dealing with the present and future of public transportation in Alaska. Some of the topics at the 2008 conference (and which are subject to change) include:
· The Americans with Disabilities Act and Public Transportation
· Update on United We Ride activities in Alaska
· Medical barriers to Public Transportation/Panel Discussion
· Outreach to diverse groups/Panel discussion
